New Indoor Pickleball Parlor to Open in Leesburg

Tennis and pickleball are often thought to be enemies, but the U.S. Tennis Association is behind the first indoor pickleball spot in Loudoun County.

The U.S. Tennis Association is supporting the opening of Loudoun County’s first indoor pickleball parlor, Village Pickle, in the Village at Leesburg. The facility will feature four courts initially, with four more planned for later in the year. Memberships offer benefits like free drop-in play and advanced court reservations. Operating seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Village Pickle will provide food and drinks through the Dell Food & Brew Hall. Pickleball, a sport combining tennis, table tennis, and badminton, has gained popularity, particularly among older adults. The USTA emphasizes similarities with tennis and plans to offer short-court tennis at the location. The parlor aims to create an exclusive space for pickleball players while leaving tennis courts available. The location in a retail center is designed to offer a unique regional experience, featuring various activities such as tournaments, leagues, clinics, and cardio classes. The first four courts are set to open in mid-January, with an additional four in July.
